I moved last week but told my roommate to accept this mail that I was expecting from Immigration.
I guess she removed my name from the mail box.
Today I went online to check the status on my EAD and the status says the card we returned as undelivered and they asked me to call customer service to update address.
I'm planning to go online and get my address changed .
Should I also call them to inform about the address change?
Is there any other way I can get my EAD card rather than wait till I update my address?
Can I change my address over the weekend? If I have to call them after changing the address online will the customer service be available over the weekend ?

I could have written this! I too am flummoxed by seeing this on my e-filed AP application. I think its pre-decision activity but I could be wrong. Anyone?

Is this stage generally expected for renewal of AP? I am not sure why the online message says "request for appointment reschedule" although my application is to renew AP.

Answer: Generally, most DMVs will only issue the DL when one has some clear legal status like H-4 or H1B status. The I-485 should be sufficient, in most cases, and the problem is often that the DMV staff is not as well trained with immigration documents. By requesting to speak with the supervisor, one may be able to obtain the DL based on the I-485 receipt notice, since all that the law requires as evidence that one is legal in the U.S.Apr-7-2008.

I do not understand what the need is to change to F1. One can do Masters while on H4. If you are thinking she needs OPT to work after Masters, It is a 2 year course, right?. You can decide after 1-1/2 yrs if you want her to move to F1.

Dear Friends,
Please advise me for the following relating to my birth certificate that I have to use for Immigration purposes.
One or two alphabets of my name on birth certificate are different from my passport and secondary school. In addition, my family name is not included in the certificate. Rest of the information is all fine and matching with my passport and secondary school certificates( like DOB, Parents, Place etc)
I have some questions
1. Does the birth certificate issued by Indian consulate in foreign country is deemed acceptable?
2. Do I need to furnish any kind of affidavit along with original birth certificate, if yes, please share the format for those, who is writing these affidavit and any specific stamp paper/value etc?
3. Any guidelines in order to correct the information in my original certificate.
4. Any other vital information in this regard

Hey, What you really mean is that one or two LETTERS in your name do not match your name on the passport. An ALPHABET is made up of ALL the letters in a languge. The neglish ALPHABET is made up of LETTERS from A to Z.

be aware. All these PDF editing tools leave a watermark - "Draft" or "Trial Version".
They are totally useless.
Earlier trial Adobe 7.0 Professional did give edit and save. Not 8.0
Bottonline: don't waste time or by 8.0 for USD 1800 or so. Or use one who has PDF editors (Admins etc)
Buy PDFill it will cost 20$ , It is cheapest software available for editing and saving PDF forms.

I had a quick question to add to this....
If one is on F1 and his/her spouse (who is on H1B and has filed for a Green Card) ends up with a current priority date, can the person on F1 file for the Green Card along with the spouse? Or does one have to be on H4 to ride along with the H1's COS?

i filed my labor 7 years ago as a programmer, today i am a project manager. I have changed job using ac21 twice, did not inform uscis even once (as its not reqd by law). I am in eb3 india and I have no hopes that uscis will ever get to my application, and even if they did after 5 years from now, I dont care if they issue an RFE and deny my 485 all together. Point I am trying to say is , you cannot spoil your career waiting for this. I changed my job exactly on 6 months and one day after i filed 485. past 2 years i am a PM. I am pretty confident that I would have had atleast 5 years PM experience by the time they reach my application or even more time. After all I want to go back to my home country pretty soon and so did not want to care about all this job title, description etc crap..this is just me..use your own instincts.

Hello Friends,
Thanks for your time and for the suggestion. Some good news, we went back to the airport - got hold of the trolley folks (where my father had misplaced his passport pouch) and there were some really friendly folks who helped us locate the pouch from Lost and Found department. This happened in JFK.

Brownback amendment be legislated into law, a large number of nurses/physical therapists will be taken out of the burden in the EB-3 visa numbers. In the BECs, there still remain a huge number of mostly EB-3 cases including unskilled workers which will take out the immigrant visa numbers in the future, probably before the summer of year 2008. Still, 60+ of the total "increased" employment-based immigrant visa numbers must add upto a large number. Contrary to this trend, a large number of cases are filed in the EB-2 category these days. Considering the fact that EB-2 numbers may be reduced or maintain at the current level at best, EB-2 visa numbers may increasingly face the pressure.
* We hope that the history will not repeat itself. In the 1990s, there was a time when the EB-2 numbers were more oversubscribed than EB-3 for China. One may wonder whether it is time for the EB immigrants who attain the EB-2 labor certification to consider filing of EB-2 and EB-3 I-140 petitions concurrently or sequentially against the situation which reveal worse oversubscription of EB-2 over EB-3, particularly P.R. all i am saying is whether u r in eb1 or 2 or 3, we are all in a deep sh**t of this retrogression, you would never know, whether its good or bad being in a certain category in GC process, cos, most of the process su***s according to me. my perception is , if u have job in this country u work, and in this period, if u get ur GC, its good, if not, its not our fault. We are doing our part by supporting organisations like IV. But there is so much anti-immigration scentiments out these days, we get defeated so easily (eg S.1932). Work with IV and leave the rest to time.

I would suggest to check the validity (start/end dates) of the LCA that was submitted along with your H1 petition. Also, check on the I-129 petition if your attorney entered correct dates or the dates on the LCA/I-129 match the dates approved by the USCIS.
