Best wishes to your mother ...!!!!
Don't worry about the visa...old visa stamping is good to use as long as it has not expired. Make sure you carry all relavent documents to prove you work for present employer. There could a possibality of officers calling to confirm your employment..so make sure you inform your present employer about it.

You are welcome to live your life in fear of USCIS by all means. I am not interested in being a slave like you. I hope you enjoy your slavery till it lasts.
And btw, I really give two hoots to your source. I have read your other posts and frankly this post of yours does not surprise me. I value my sleep much more.

i spent around 3000$ for studies, could get only 2000$ under lifetime...
is there anyway i can claim the entire 3000?
Yes, if you are married filing jointly and your combined income is less than 130,000 you can claim a tuition deduction of 4000USD. If you are above 130K but less than 160K your deduction is 2000USD. If you are around borderline for 130K, just buy a traditional IRA which reduces your AGI. Read this part of Pub 970 if you need more help

Guys,
This is election time and no immigration bills will be taken seriously until mid next year. Let us stay calm and cool.
Still have friends from EB2 2002/03 not gotten their GCs...
Patience is the key.
Election time....immigration issue has zero value

I came back to US on Mar 30 2008 using advance parole. The officer wrote on I-94 , paroled until Mar 29, 2008 (I am assuming its an oversight).
I didnt detect the oversight till yesterday. What my current status and what actions should I take to rectify the error.
I am still working for my employer that sponsored the H1B which is valid till Feb 2009, although the stamp on the passport was valid only till Feb 2008
Thanks
Immediately contact your lawyer and get it rectified through USCIS

Because Company C and A have different FED TAX ID. so they are considered as different business......
I didn't raise any question beacuse both the company was ran under the same roof.
During the PERM the company C was not mentioned in the form. But was under H1b in that time for company C. After getting the PERM approval from Company A. I move my h1b from company C to company A. But I have something written from Company C that although i was employed by company C, but my payroll was being processed by Company A.
Pelase response
If Company A and C are related business entities, why H1-B transfer was needed from C to A.
>> So even i was working with the company C, my payroll was under Company A.
When you were getting paycheck from A, did you raise this issue?
Did you put this information in Employment History for I-485? What was your last entry into USA?

I received an invitation letter from Congressman Marty Meehan to attend the town meeting at 10am 12/16 at UMass Lowell.
http://www.house.gov/meehan/
Although the topic of the meeting is "Climate Change: Local Solutions to a Global Crisis". But it will be a good chance for us to meet congressman.
Congressman Marty Meehan is Fifth Congressional District of Massachusetts He does not support the CIR but he do support the elimination of backlog of GC. He is a member of both the House Armed Services and Judiciary Committees.

14. S.1397 : A bill to increase the allocation of visas for certain highly skilled workers and to reduce fraud and abuse in certain visa programs for aliens working temporarily in the United States.

Committees: Senate Judiciary
Latest Major Action: 5/15/2007 Referred to Senate committee.

Looks great. So how does it go with this amendment? Has it been ordered to lie on the table or sit up straight in a chair?

This is from my attorney:
All your previous I-20s if you were student here, including all the notes made on the I-20s for any change (travel, course related paid work experience, OPT etc.);
EAD card copy for OPT if you had any;
All the visa stamps for reentering the States;
All H1b approvals;
I had some I-20s missing but I was able to contact my University International Student office - fortunately that they have everything on file.
"Proof that person is maintaining valid status in USA since last entry in USA" - not last entry but the first entry. All the doucments are to prove your entry is legal and your stay is as legally approved.

Most of the congressmen hold town hall meetings. This is their method of meeting with constituents.
This may be a great opportunity for you to push for skilled immigration. He may be against CIR. But no congressmen would say "no" to qualified individuals.
Explore opportunities for the congressman to place a bill of his own supporting skilled immigration.

Hi Guys,
For those who applied for the EAD and it has already arrived (or those who have done the ead renewal b4), when does the new EAD/AP start from?
Say my EAD is expiring on Oct 1 and I apply on June 1 (lets assume every month is exactly 30 days for calculation convenience). Now say my EAD arrives on say Sep 1, then does it start from Sep 1 or does it start on the original Oct 1? I guess my question is, do we lose a few weeks each time we renew the EAD/AP?

My gully, I should have issued personal cheque instead of asking the atty. to use his cheques. I could then saved the trouble of asking the atty. everynow and then.
I still have 20 days left before I could get my RN based on the rate of receipting recently.
